So, fellow #IGTravelChallenge challengers, here I go again. This time, I’m going to post some of my favourite photos of the sky for this month’s theme, great skies. I meant to post this yesterday but totally forgot, so you’re getting it today instead. Once again, apologies for the delay.
Anyway, like the good old British weather before it, the sky can one minute look pretty without a cloud to be seen…
Skies over Trafalgar Square, London, Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle and The Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster, all taken this year on dry, sunny days. (London was dry and sunny and just a little cold, given that it was in January.)
…the next, it’ll look dramatic, with ominous, dark rainclouds rolling in…
City Park, Bradford last year, Wembley, London, in 2014 and Durham Cathedral in, erm, Durham a few weeks ago.
…and, the next, a bit, well, grey.
Both Manchester (airport and Old Trafford), appropriately enough!
Sunsets can look quite awesome too. Here’s one taken in Qawra, Malta, last year, and the sunset looks rather beautiful. (SIDE NOTE: I did use this in the original travel challenge on Instagram back in March but now I’ve added the full photo for today’s post.)
Finally, I want to share this photo of the moon I took on holiday in Malta four years ago. I was waiting for a singer who was on at the hotel that night. PS: The photo has been left as is – nothing’s been edited or changed.
Next month’s challenge will be ‘street art’. Already found bits of graffiti around my home city, Leeds, to be getting on with, but I’m hoping to find more before mid-June.
Ciao for now!
